Introspect Fountain

As I delved into the given theme of Utopia for Whatnot Studio 2020 at SAIC, my exploration led me to focus on the fountains of the Renaissance. During that era, the design of fountains was profoundly influenced by the concept of utopia, as they symbolized the pursuit of an ideal society—a vision where harmony, beauty, and balance reigned supreme.These fountains provided people with a sanctuary from the harsh realities of daily life, inviting them to immerse themselves in a serene and utopian ambiance.

Ultimately, these ideas from the Renaissance served as a profound inspiration for the final design of Introspect Fountain—where I explore what a modern-day utopian fountain would look like. In this case, the antithesis of its predecessors conception.
